I'm thinking about getting an industrial piercing, but I'm wondering about the healing process?

I want to get an industrial piercing but I'm unsure of it because one of my friends has it and she said she got it done two years ago but she has this bump on one of the holes and I really don't want my piercing to end up like that. I got my right helix done a little less than 2 years ago and it healed perfectly fine even though there were a few issues in the first 9 months or so. Do you think the industrial would heal similarly?

everyone heals differently. i woulnt base the healing process off a past one. I got my second holes in my ears that didnt heal up well and i was afraid to get my cartilage pierced because of it. my cartilage healed up just nicely. as for the bumps im pretty sure that comes from not cleaning it like you should. i stopped cleaning mine three times a day a little while after i got my cartilage pierced because it was no longer sore or crusting. that turned out to be a mistake because i to developed a little lump by my ear. but once i started cleaning it again the lump shrunk and went away. i think you should go ahead and get it. they look awesome . just always remember to clean it.
