Staking and cutting tools in watch making
The Bergeon small staking tool consists of 50 finely crafted punches, 10 precisely made stakes and a wooden case for storage. The Large Staking Tool set has 100 well crafted punches and 20 stakes with a wooden case for being stored.
Taps and Dies are used to thread metal screws in watches. The Bergeon Assortment of Taps and Dies varies from .3 mm to 1 mm. It is a tool that is meant for professional use. It is set in metric sizes. The taps and dies come in a wooden case, neatly stored. It has eight dies ranging from .3 mm up to 1 mm, in increments of .1 mm. There are eight sets of 3 taps that come in steel tubes. It has one die holding device. The taps and dies can also be used with a tap tool. It is a Swiss made tool, so precision is guaranteed.
The Bergeon Assortment of Taps and Dies also come in a set varying from .8 mm to 2mm. This set also comes in a wooden box. It contains eight dies and eight sets of 3 taps in steel tubes. It has one die holder and also can be used with a tap tool. The Bergeon tap tool is made for use with 8 mm diameter dies. The Bergeon PF die holder is a tool that is used to hold dies while cutting threads. The diameter of this tool measures 25 mm on the outside and 8 mm on the inside.
There is a replacement set for taps, the Bergeon Assorted Taps in tubes. There are 18 tubes with 3 taps in each with a total of 54 taps. The taps vary in size from .3 mm to 1.2 mm. They are Swiss made and are constructed from solid steel. The taps are stored in a strong wooden box which is good for storing. There is a variant in this model with taps made from High Speed steel that is they have a HSS construction.
In the Bergeon Assortment of taps, there are comprehensive replacements with 12 aluminium tubes each having three taps. The taps in this assortment are made of solid steel. The same model is also available where the taps alone are made of High Speed steel. The Bergeon die holder is a precision tool of very high quality. As a thread cutting tool, it is best suited for both jewellers and watch makers. It is a hand held device and has a handle with a good grip. It fits all .8 mm dies by using a key that holds down the die firmly in position while threading a screw. This tool does not include dies which have to be procured separately.
