While some players like a narrow taper so that they can move their writs around more easily and quickly while swinging the bat, there are others who prefer larger taper.
Grip
Grip means the covering on the handle of the bat. Some aluminium bats have leather or synthetic covering while others have a rubber covering. While leather or synthetic covering gives a stickier feel ensuring a firmer grip, a rubber covering absorbs the shocks from hits more easily.
